Collaboration with members of the SRC Technical Working Group identifies innovative Analog and Mixed Signal technology roadmaps as part of the CHIPS Act initiatives.
Kelowna, British Columbia——-April 20, 2023, SiliconIntervention announces its collaboration with Semiconductor Research Corporation (SRC) in the development of a technology roadmap focused on analog and mixed signal processing. This is part of the Microelectronics and Advanced Packaging Technologies (MAPT) Roadmap, a far-reaching initiative for the semiconductor industry.
The MAPT Roadmap Interim Report, recently published by SRC, includes over 100 organizations of all sizes representing government, industry, and academia. In April 2022, SRC was chosen by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to focus on these emerging technologies due to its strong history of thought leadership and continued innovation.
This partnership is part of SiliconIntervention’s answer to the “call to action” posed by SRC and Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) in the 2030 Decadal Plan for Semiconductors. The challenges and new trajectories identified in the Decadal Plan are addressed in ‘Chapter 11: Analog and Mixed Signal Processing’ of the MAPT Roadmap.
“We welcome the opportunity to help define the future roadmap for analog and mixed signal processing,” said Allan Cox, CEO, SiliconIntervention. “Key to our sharing innovative technology has been a recognition that collaboration is necessary to establish US industry leadership and we welcome feedback and suggestions on collaborative programs based on the roadmap.”
“Fundamental aspects of SiliconIntervention’s ‘New Analog’ technology portfolio promise to make significant advances possible over the next ten years, towards the goals set by the industry,” commented Martin Mallinson, Founder and Chief Scientist of SiliconIntervention. “We endorse the message sent by Dr. Victor Zhirnov, SRC Chief Scientist and Director of the MAPT Roadmap, that the roadmap was created by the community to fortify the semiconductor supply chain and bolster emerging applications which can only be achieved if we work together.”
The interim report can be reviewed at https://srcmapt.org/. The public comment period closes May 1, 2023.
